Areas for improvement and provide an action plan for improving these skills and attributes.

In my opinion skills are the ability that an individual bears which makes him to perform the task or job related to his skills. Like, if a person has good communication skills then he will surely perform communication activities most of the time. Ones develop skills naturally and from the experiences.

Well, talking about my skills, I have good communication skills, I work well either leading or being part of a team and I am self-motivated and capable of working on several tasks at once. I do have leader skills which includes being able to clearly and specifically communicate vision, goals, skills, and expectations. I involve in the decisions making so that my other member  feel that I am involved in team work and ensure the opportunity to contribute to face the tasks. I do listen to what other people are consciously or unconsciously communicating. I motivate others for better performance. My motivational skills will help to improve activeness in group work, increase the vitality of group projects, and move forward toward achieving goals and objectives of my team.

Though I have these skills but I still want to improve my communication skills, leadership skills and motivational skills more effectively than before which will help to for job opportunities in  coming future. My action plan for the improvement of these skills will be like improving my verbal, nonverbal (writing skills), and listening skills. I will enhance my presenting skills for my group and individual presentation. As a group member, I will enhance my activeness in collecting and managing the information, planning and organizing and making effective decisions as required.  I will actively seek to motivate members of my team for their own careers sake but also for the future. This means I also look for my personal development opportunities to ensure my skills are kept up to date.

   Skills, Attributes and Employment Development

It has already been one month that I joined Islington college for my bachelor studies. As you know I have selected computing module for Bachelor studies. There are four sub modules under this module which I have to learn. They are i) Study Skills for Computing, ii) Logic, iii) Problem Solving for IT and iv) Introduction to Programming.

Well, I have been learning is Study Skills for computing. For me it is an interesting module. This subject will help me in better English preparation, communicating in writing, giving effective presentations, being a good team member and developing my confidence in presentation and other technical skills.

The second module that I have been learning is Logic. It is an intellectual module. This module is related to mathematical problems like logical questions, relation, justifying proofs about mathematical objects, such as integers, complex numbers, and infinite sets. As we know, logic is required in every sector. I hope this module will help in creative thinking, to be able to solve the problems of hardware and software designs which are difficult to be solved.

Now the third I have been learning is Problem solving for IT. Well, it is quite challenging subject to me. We need very creative thinking to solve any problems. It is also an one kind art of solving  problems. I want to have the ability to become a great problem solver related to software development and programming.

The last module is Introduction to Programming. This module is very complex and tough than other modules but it is very important for my career. It is also a very challenging subject. This module will help to develop new software programs. As I am from management background, this module will help in developing software related to accounting .

Thus, these are the module which I have been learning which will help in my career development.

Self Assessment.

Everything that I got was the achievement of my life till now. I still want to achieve more and more. We always try to learn from our achievements whether its good one or bad one. I am still learning from my achievements. There are some of the achievements of my life. I would like to share through this blog.
Reflecting back to my past, I am a simple guy. I was good in Extra Curricular Activities in high school. I was good in drawings and paintings, and music too. I got rewarded as a Best musician and Discipline Musician which helped me to boost up my confidence. I secured good percentage in SLC. I accomplished my +2 from management faculty. I have the knowledge of accountancy and management back grounds which will help me to develop programs related to financing. I learnt how to manage time in our day to day life. Time management taught me to be patience, hardworking and loyal with time.
As I am from management faculty, I am not familiar with technical issues. But I am keen to learn more from this college. But, slowly and gradually, I will gain  technical knowledge. It is also a good achievement to learn in Islington college which possesses very good education system. Computing is not an easy course. For me it is a tough subject. I need to work more harder to achieve my goal. So, after learning 3 years of computing course, I want to be a software developer. I am learning programming and teachers are providing extra ideas about programming. The module 'Study Skills for Computing’ will help me to improve my English and I still want to be enhance my English for the upcoming presentation. This is just a starting phase. There are still more things to be learned and achieved. My expectation is very high from this college.

Starting as a very fresher student in this college, Islington College, I am very glad and delighted to join this college for my further study i.e IT , BSc (Hons) Computing. I am from New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. I passed my SLC from V.S Niketan Higher Secondary School in Minbhawan. I passed my +2 from one of the well-renowned college, Himalayan White House International College, with good percentage. My hobbies are photography, playing musical instrument like (flute, keyboard,), listening music, net surfing,and travelling. In my school life i have been awarded as a ''Best and Discipline Musician''. Presently, photography has become my favourite hobby. Most of a time I think about photography.Anywhere I go, if a see any object, I just want to capture it. For for me Photography is everywhere.

     Now, the reasons for studying BIT is to be a Good Software Developer. IT is a fully practical based subject rather than theory. I like practical subjects more than theory subject because subject bulids ones skills and knowledge more effectively. It doesnot mean that theory is not required. Theory creates the way for practice.My friend also recommended me to join this college. He suggested me,this college is very good for BIT course, and, so , joined this college. This course is suitable for better careers. Lastly, computing jobs are highly paid and highest job satisfaction.

Well, I am glad to join this college because I found good education environment in this college, well equipped liabrary, lab, well-desinged  classroom and halls.
